Well I guess I am the grandfather of routers. I bought a craftsman belt sander which had a detachable motor with a router base that you woulkd insert the motor into and presto a router. That was in 1952 or 3. I have had several different routers and brands. I use my Corter Cable 895 more than my Dewalt which are the newest ones that are less than 2 years old. Love that PC hands down
