 Years of use
Somewhere around 30 years, I can't remember exactly. Don't remember the make, but it was big and unfriendly to use. My choice now would be Porter Cable plunge router. I have the 2 hp. and it is excellent with the minor exception that the hold down for the plunge needs to be reengineered. It is not up to snuff.
Also use my Hitachi 3hp. for heavy work, but don't be fooled. The PC at 2hp is virtually equivalent to the Hitachi at 3hp. Different manufactures rate their motors different. In this case the two are almost the same. If you don't understand motor ratings, ask someone knowledgeable before making a decision on that basis along. larry |
