I purchased my first Router and table Combo a GMC from Lowe's was about 1.5 years ago and am limited with what I can do with it. Do not get me wrong I can still use it be there is some bits that I cannot use with it. So I recently Purchased the Bosch 1617EVSPK from Lowe's and am very satisfied with it. You can get the Bosch or a Porter Cable cheaper by ordering Online. I plan to buy a new Router to go along with the new table I am going to build. My next table top will be one I build myself or purchase a kit from
Oak Park there is so much more you can do with one that you build or buy the kit and put it together.
There are alot of Routers and tables out on the market and I wish I would have found this forum before I bought my first table. Take your time, read the forum and get the information you need to make and educated decision on what you want and need. Sorry for the book but just wanted to give my 2 cents.
