That should work out fine,I do recommend using a 2 x 6 sub.frame to hold the cabinet true and sq. and a place to mount the wheels and to add mass to the base I also use 2 x 4 stock for the top side of the cabinet to screw the top to and to keep it square and to add mass to the top ,the sides with support the top easy..I do recommend the open front and back type ,,in that way you can use it from the two sides when you need a bit more of a foot print for big (wide) stock..it's no big deal to just flip the fence around..

im not sure how soon, but i want to build a table similiar to the style of op. i want to be able to take it outside. but it will be using a 2 1/4 hp router. i am thing of using 1/2 birch or baltic birch for the sides and bottom to make it light.
i want to use mdf for the top then laminate 1/4 inch plastic onto the top, i have plenty of the 1/4 plastic.  |
