Default Removal of router springs for table use

I bought a new Freud router for dedicated use on my router table. I saw the Router Forum instructions for removing the springs, which was excellent.

I contacted Freud to see if they agreed with the instructions. I was surprised when I was told that they advised against removing the springs. When I asked why, I was told that it was not necessary.

That seemed wrong to me, since on Router Workshop it appears that the springs have been removed from their table routers.

What about y'all out there? Do you say 1) remove the springs, 2) leave the springs alone or 3) it makes no difference?

Thanks in advance for your opinion and advice.
