Default Question about raised panel router bits

Hello,
Please excuse my ignorance, since I'm still a newbie when it comes to routing. I have a Bosch RA1171 router table, and I'm still in the process of choosing a router for it. I'd like to someday be able to do raised panels with it, and I know that to do it best, I'll need a 3+ HP router for it.
My dumb question is, what is the difference between a vertical raised panel bit and a horizontal raised panel bit, and what do forum members mean when they talk about a horizontal router table versus a vertical router table?
Isn't a standard router table like mine, a horizontal router table, since the table top is parallel to the floor? What would a vertical router table be?
