Just more curiosity --
Saw in interesting gimmick at HF the other day -
A cast iron base about 9" high and about 6" square.
Priced at $112 They bill it as a
Router/Shaper ---
And they say you can use up to
2" router or shaper bits.
These are the things that caught my eye --
BUT --
On closer inspection --- it has only a 1/4" shank and a 7/8th hp motor.
Even to my untrained mind - that would raise some questions --
And from things I have learned on here --- I have a notion what the answers to those questions would be.
If you had very limited space -- and needed a low-end routher to do some simple roundovers on small pieces -- I guess I can see value in this item --
But -
as advertised - would it not fall squarely in the oversold gadget category with the VegAMatic and the Ginzu knife?
Or am I missing something?
