Yep, I'm still a ham... wb6ufx... gen. lic. from the mid 60's... Don't do much anymore... Have the Drake line, 2m, & 220 and a dipole & vert.
I used to be on 2m mobile while living on the freeways... during my 'working' days... was a fun way to pass the time...
You had all that equipment without a ham license?!!
... and you
didn't use most of it... yes?
What no linear amp.?!
I had to get rid of a lot of teletype equipment when I got back into woodworking... that really hurt... was hard to do... but no one wanted it... would have been nice in a museum somewhere.
It's a lot easier to get a ham lic. now... NO CODE!!
When I started, I had to get a Novice lic. good for only 1 year... not renewable... had to upgrade or forget it... had to learn Code @ 13 wpm... got to about 18 wpm so I would pass @ 13... took my vacation the last 2 weeks before lic. expiration... practiced a lot... went to Los Angeles and aced the code & written exams.
Now, all you have to do is pass a written exam...
