What area do you live in Joe? I would be happy to let you try out one of my 1617's against my PC 7518 with a piece of oak. The difference is not as much as you might think. If I were in the market I would have a tough time choosing between a Bosch 1619 (Top rated) and the Triton Bob posted about, the TRA001. Since the Triton is going for $214 + $10 for the guide bushing adaptor it is the low cost favorite. So you ask why did I buy a PC 7518 instead of one of the other brands? $120, any further questions?
