Default Mortising jig

Good day

Today, I made it...

Still, a lot is missing...the fence clamping, sliding stops, clamps to clamp the boards and others but...

It's working very good and rolling very smooth.

I lifted the bit 1/8"~5/32" at every pass but I feel that I can take more depth in each pass (probably because I'm used to the old router).

The setting is very easy and I can set it precisely to the length of the required mortise.

The stops are located on the fence so there is no problem of long boards.

After setting and clamping the board, I just "roll" the jig from one stop to the other, lift the bit and roll again till the depth stop.

I used 10 mm (3/8") bit and on one of the pics you can see a 10 mm dowels inserted, very precise.

Sorry, I did not "Text" the pics, it was only a test...

Regards
niki
