Welcome to the forums. The 1617's are my favorite routers, I own a pair along with a 1613 which is a plunge only version. When you table mount your 1617 you can remove the knob handles; this makes adjustments easier. Check the packaging, your router may have the new base with through the table height adjustment. It's not a big deal if it doesn't, and I wouldn't use that feature if I had it. It's far too easy to adjust the router under the table, and faster too.
