On the season 4 DVD Bob Rosendahl shows one of his favorite possesions. It is a box that is 1/2" x 1/2" with an open top. Each side has about 6 hand cut dovetails and they are at 14º angles. This was a gift from a friend. On a box 1-1/2" square the dovetails will not provide any more strength that the glue itself. So if your project is strictly for looks good luck with the hand cut dovetails.
