Hi Janice

Sounds like you have it done, but if it's just for a small sander, pickup a auto type air filter,, some come with a 2 1/2" to 3" rubber hose on them that just fits the sander outlet and you can blow them out when it gets full..
I have also used a Red Devil Hand Vac Bags that work well also.

Most just push right on or you can use a hose clamp..or a wide rubber band to keep them in place
