Bruce, when the Triton router was designed, it wasn't intended to use template guides, this was a later addition and not a particularly good one. Whilst in my humble opinion it is the best router available for table use my advice would be to learn plunge routing with template guides and use you're other router for this purpose. you should be able to learn a great deal by reading Template Tom's sticky also his and my threads. you may also look up bobj3's posts over the last several weeks showing how he has taken to plunge routing in a big way and is VERY successful at it and between the three of us plus all those others who tend to be shy when it comes to posting, I'm sure that you could soon become proficient at making templates and using template guides when plunge routing.
