A last minute decision was to make a bottom shelf. I forgot to take shots of ripping and fitting the edging strips but there is a shot showing the easiest way that I have found to mitre edging, using the disc sander with mitre gauge.
I have now decided to enclose the table and fit doors and another shelf, this will be in the next few days so attempts at pen turning will be delayed.
