I am within an eyelash of ordering the
CMT Industrio Router Table System from Amazon; $305 with free shipping. This table is classified as an accessory, which means if I purchase a power tool, I get 20% off the accessory, about $60.
I am looking for suggestions for a useful shop tool so I can get the $60 discount, preferable something router table project related so I can be more useful right away, but not necessarily so.
The tool must be sold by Amazon itself (not other businesses selling products on Amazon) to qualify for the discount.
I have no major tools and only a few minor tools so I can use almost everything. You would think that would make my choice easy, but I'm only familiar with wants/needs for major tools and now is not the time for an additional major tool purchase.
Power tools I have:
Freud 2200E router purchased recently
Ancient 6.5" Skil circular saw that still works great and is my main cutting tool.
A decent Ryobi 12v cordless drill
An el-cheapo older orange Black and Decker jig saw
Older Shopmate quarter sheet vibrating sander
I suppose a decent jig saw that could be mounted under the router table would be useful; the seemingly decent ones at Amazon are $110 to $160 more than I was looking to pay but I suppose I could be convinced.
A spindle sander would be nice too, but those price out much higher.
A drill press would be very nice; the cheapest one at Amazon is a Delta for $100, but I question its quality even for infrequent noobie woodworker use.
Dust collections systems are accessories, not power tools, so no go there.
I could get an el-cheapo cordless screwdriver to qualify for the $60 discount, but I don't need or want one. There's gotta be some other small tool that I don't know I need!
Suggestions and advice requested!
