I used it for small projects like chamfering the edges of a stair rail. 2 years ago I purchased the Bosch 1617 combo pack. Early last fall I traded a torpedo heater for a Porter cable 7518; it was too heavy for the guy who bought it! I grabbed a Ryobi laminate trimmer for $15, then this summer bought my pin router and an older Craftsman commercial for $20. I have 3/8" collets for the Bosch and PC so I can use optical cutters. These are about a 3/4" ball shape with 3, 11 or 12 flutes. Once these bits have been sharpened past tolerance you can get them dirt cheap.
