All of my tables -- two I bought and one I built have been like that.
And for many years it didnt bother me -- but as I get older and lazier. . . .

I think I understand what you are looking for --
You want baseplates that are 'permanently' attached that you can then attach your router to (with base attached) with a single twist.
Unfortunately --- I don't think I have ever seen such a creature -
If I understand right what you are looking for -- I'm afraid you are going to have to create it.

As for alternatives ---
My vote goes with those who suggested -- just get two bases. Mount them. Then just slide your router in and out.
The round plate BJ suggested sounds like a good idea too -- not sure it would work on your vertical mount. But if it would -- then you have the side benefit of never having to remove anything -- as it could be left on for handheld work.
