The first thing that popped into my head, is to use a large handscrew clamp. If your only cutting 1, I would put another at the opposite end to keep everything parallel. If cutting more than 1, line them up, and cut several at once (I'm assuming your routing the ends?). Then clamp something to the table for a fence thats short enough to not to interfere with the handles and screws on the clamp.

I've not been in my shop for a few days because I'm fighting a head cold. And not thinking clearly enough to feel safe using power tools. So you might want someone else's opinion on this before trying.
