Default Ordered my Router Workshop table

After reading this forum for quite a while, I decided to go ahead and get the Oak Park table. I, being a scrounger, latched onto an unfinished bathroom cabinet that had no top. I think I'll put a top on the cabinet and then mount some braces to secure the new OP router table. With both pieces together, the work height will be just about right for me.

It's funny, as I pulled the carcass from a corner of the garage, I opened the drawers and found the spacer system, brass bars, and router bits that I had purchased some 7 or 8 years ago from West Oak's Inc., an outfit that used to make the rounds of the woodworking shows. All this stuff is still in the boxes...even the VCR tape that demos the use of all the spacer fences.

I think I can actually get excited now that I'll have a quality table to get me started. I have the M12V router and it's only been used about 30 minutes in the past 6 years. I do have to admit, it lay dormant in the cupboard because I had removed the plunge mechanism/springs in preparation for mounting in a table that never got built. Since then, I took it to a shop and had the plunge function restored. It seemed that I had lost a ball bearing or something...the technician said to not feel bad because that part is lost by many who attempt the modification. The learning curve for this old boy is rather steep.

Anyway, I really enjoy all of your posts, the friendly bantering that takes place, and the wealth of knowledge that abounds on this forum.

Thank you.
