You know I don't know what your budget is but... I would stay away from the used or garage sale routers unless you get one that is basically new in box. You just don't know what you are going to run into. If you have a budget of 100.00 or so check out the new Craftsman 2 HP plunge/fixed base combo. Great routers at a great price.
