Birch,

I have the CMT version and I love it. The Kreg one looks great too. I'm sure you'll find uses you've never thought of. The CMT version I have set up on a 4 foot long piece of MDF with a 'bench hook' type front end. This way, the pieces don't wobble on the jig base.

One subtle hint, the step drill bits don't like concrete floors. More correctly put, they don't like the sudden stop when they fall to the concrete floor... But hey, when I bought a replacement Kreg bit, I got the little 'rocket' jig for free.

I added a picture of the setup. I pull the shop vac adapter out of my Miter saw and put it in the pocket hole jig when I'm doing a bunch. It really makes a big difference. Unfortunately, with the big shop vac and the little holes on the jig, it gets a little loud.
