Default Christmas Toys....lobster

Nickbee's Larry the Lobster made me look at these plans again & how nicely his turned out sent me to the scrap bin for materials. Like all of my toys, there is more than one species of wood involved. In my lobster's case, I should have used a heavier species for the body & a light species for the claws. My lobster worked fine on a carpet, but on a tile or hardwood floor the wheels merely skidded along & were unable to lift the claws. What to do ? I found a couple of 1/2" rubber bands in my "junk drawer" & glued them to the wheels. End of problem. Next the claws really banged when closing. Guaranteed to drive some mummy nuts in short order. So.... on the roof of the claw mouths, I stuck a piece of sticky backed insulation tape. End of bang..bang..bang. So here it is. Thanks for looking.
