Gary, saying you bought a router table from Sears is like saying you bought a car from GM; there are many models and they are all different. Starting pins are a simple idea that is worth their weight in gold for safety. If your table has holes pre-drilled for pins then Sears will offer them as an accessory. If not there are a couple ways to go. You can purchase replacement pins for a Rousseau mounting plate and drill a hole of the correct size in your table, you can build the neat vacuum hose starting pin device shown elsewhere on the forums. This device is not a pin but works the same way, it gives you a safe starting point to introduce wood against the bit.
