Thanks for your pics and comments. I think I finally understand why the semi-circle cut out was put there. I don't know if I am on a "fools errand" trying to exactly duplicate the RWS version, so I am going to put a few pennies away for awhile and purchase one. With that to work with, I may just venture into building another, just to see if I can do it. Then I would need to know where I can purchase those nice thick blocks of UHMV that RWS uses for their fences and jigs.
