as always, a wealth of info BobJ... thanks.
I found some stuff over at the WOOD boards, some guys mentioned that by design, some of the entrapped particles are used to catch other particles and make up some of the filtration media, and that as layers build up, a gentle tap of the bag helps them settle into the lower container- ?maybe?
I also found that most people tend to vacuum out or shake out their filters once or twice a year. I'm glad to hear yours has lasted as long, I was hoping I didn't have to buy new bags every year.
I also found a basically unused circuit in my basement I can use for the DC. Now I'm off to install some 3 way switches around the shop- cheaper than a remote.
