Check twice! is on a distinguished road

I thought I would bring this thread back and show the finished piece of aluminum my son and I finished for our project.

The start size was 48"x4". We needed a finish product of 22"x31/4".

We had no problem using a 3/8"x6 tpi blade. It had to be taken slow and easy but did accomplish it.

The only problem I found was trying to rip the 22", it did want to wander a bit. This did cause some extra filing at the end.

Would I do it again, NO, the clean up of the saw and surrounding area did not make it worth while. The next time I will have it cut for me.

Thanks for all the advice, it did keep us safe and get the job done.

Thanks
John
