Default Learned something new...

Well, I guess you learn something new everyday. I was putting some maple edgebanding on some plywood, and used a technique that has worked well for me in the past.

I used masking tape to hold the edge banding on while the glue dried, except today it turned into a mess. After I taped it up, I went back inside to make lunch, and when I came out the tape was all curled back and the banding wasn't bonded. I don't know if it is the humidity/heat today that was the culprit or if it was lousy tape (nashua brand).

I have seen the blue 3M painter's tape peel off during high humidity, but this is my first experience with the regular stuff failing on me so quickly.

Anyway, if it's really humid, you might want to use 'real' clamps.....
