Welcome Vern. There are several solutions to making accurate dovetails and you will find them in our jigs and fixtures section. Another decorative joint worth considering is the box or finger joint. Of course this will depend on the look you are going for but with todays glues strength will not be an issue. Let me suggest you visit Oak Park and look at their unique dovetail jig. There is an option for heart shaped dovetails as well as a modified dovetail. You will find a link at the top of our home page under preferred stores.
