Hi marquyt

They are made for light duty jobs but not made to hang a router on one end of the pointer, Sears /Craftsman made many of them for the home shop and they are just toys, they will copy a pattern to the wood but at that point it's best to get your trim router out and finish the job..

Modern versions of pantographs can be found in many toy stores.

My main problem is keeping the router from scueing out of square from the pointer, and also figuring out how to raise the router out of the wood between letters. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I get it worked out, but for now I'm looking for more information on most everything about it. When I get it working I will contact you, here.
