Hi Charlie, welcome to the forum, when I saw "breaking semiconductors" I had two visions, the first one of you sat at a bench wearing white cotton gloves and breaking a large printed sheet into individual chips! The second with a row of chips in front of you with a power supply that you were turning up the volts to prove that semi-conductors are filled with smoke because, as we all know, once the smoke escapes the chip no longer works!
