Cubbie, your table will be similar to mine which is based on a plan from Woodsmith. This plan calls for 1 piece of 3/4" plywood and two layers of 1/4" Masonite.(Hardboard) You may want to consider their 23 x 30 finished table top size. This way you could use their fence design if you don't already have one. I thought you might be interested to know that Rockler has their nice $20 router switch on sale for $14.95.(US) One other thing you should order from Woodcraft, the centering kit for your router. The kit has a 1/4" shaft you chuck in your collet, it extends down through a special washer that fits into the gray ring of the mounting plate. It also includes pointed allen transfer screws so you are perfectly centered on your plate. The kit run's $3(US).
