If I could afford it I would buy every tool they make because they are the best or are they? I think any company that sells tools sells Festools. They want you to believe that if you don't buy Festools your not a very good wood worker. Well I have never been a good worker and at almost 75 years old it ain't going to happen now.

PS- I need to check my email for Festool ads. :frown:

I frankly find their scheme to be ridiculous. With the debacle they created with PRO 5 sander, as well as reading more and more reports of faulty tools coming from them makes it appear that there are some serious issues within in the company's leadership. I did order the PRO 5 sander, as I really wanted to see for myself if there is any truth to they hype that surrounds these tools. I just got an email that the sander will be delayed yet another month. Beginning to think I will never receive it. :(

As a result, I have come to the conclusion that the price raising scheme is just simply a ploy to trick people into pay for their already over-priced tools that in reality are only marginally better than box store tools.

My son has a construction company in the Los Angeles area and he uses several of their tools. He says the speed and accuracy of their tools justify the cost. Me, I'm not in any hurry and can be accurate enough to keep that cash in my pocket.
