Default Plunge Router Springs

I have a Porter Cable 690 with a plunge router attachment. The springs in it are very strong. I think I seen that some people take them out. What do you people do with yours yours. new at this. Thanks for any help.

Generally if used for hand routing leave the springs in, for dedicated table use remove.
