| Registered User Supreme Forum King  |  laminating I'm going to be routing some grooves in a new router table top soon, and am a little leery of wrecking the laminated top (not sure if I'll use a formica or some type of plastic yet) - any tips on routing without chipping the edges would be greatly appreciated. Do I treat it pretty much like plywood? |

| Registered User Supreme Forum King | Maybe I have no problem - having never done it before, I just have visions of wrecking or chipping out the edges - don't know if folks normaly score it first, use tape, or what - just want to do it nicely the first time, that's all. |

| Registered User Forum Geek | Ive routed a lot of plastic laminate without any trouble,but if it bothers you don't do it. If thinking of a miter slot it isn't necessary on a router table. Regards Jerry |
