Wow, those things are expensive. I wonder if Home Depot, Menards or Lowes carry them.

I have never seen one there before Steve. I had one for my miniature painting hobby ( that's what ruined my eyes) and I got it at a hobby shop.

I got one like yours at Home Depot. Mine looks to be a bit newer, but the same basic design. Can't remember what I paid for it tho...

Most any office supply store should have one.
Staples, office max, office depot, etc.

Steve, the one I used to have had a round fluor. tube which, in just a couple of months ruined my eyes as they also did to a friend of mine. The flicker of the fluor. close to my eyes is what caused it, so do be careful.

Just remembered the manufacturer of mine... Catalina Lighting. Think they were out of Florida.

Mine did too Harry. And it's called retina fatigue. The flickering in mili-seconds continually is what does it. Every time it does it the retina flickers like a shutter on a camera. I used one for a number of years in my miniatures and model railroading. That's why I now can't read stuff on shelves or have to take my glasses off to read lables...even with bi-focals and it's also why I used to be a scroll saw guy but can't see to that work anymore.
