I made my collet nut with a slide puller. I used the hook attachment. I used my hand grinder with a very thin cutting blade to cut the front part, then I used my rotary tool to grind the hole to fit my collet. The metal is too hard to use a drill bit. Whit the photos you will understand. The router is working very good with the machined collet nut.

The collet and nut are not available any more. I have tried to make collets but the outside angle is very critical for the collet to lock-up properly. If not done correctly you get lots of vibration. I was hoping to find a set to buy off a burned out router ( u can't get replacement motors ) or if I can borrow the parts I can reverse engineer them and have a local machine shop make them for me. This is another project that was supposed to be easy.
