Default Handles for clear router bases.

I've seen some examples in router forum when people free hand signs. Their router bases have two handles, some look store bought & others home made, maybe. I see rockler has them listed under knobs etc,etc.. in their catalog. Their size is 3/8"-16. Does that seem big for these router plates? Anyway, where can I buy these handles other than rocker? I'm using a 12" square clear plastic base,3/8" thick. Thanking all of you in advance for your insight.

Hi EPC

If you'er looking to beat the price make your own out of some hardwood, they can be wooden dowels, a block of hardwood with a steel or brass insert you put in it.

If you have a lathe or you have a mate that has one you can make all the handles you need in no time..
But if you just want to buy some give LeeValley supply or PriceCutters.com a look see..

Just one more way to beat the high price, HomeDepot/Lowes/Rockler sale turned wooden parts for cabinets, hand rails, etc. that you can cut up for handles, then just screw in a hanger bolt and you have all the handles you need.

Thanks Bj,
Thats why this forum is special. There is help everywhere. The price wasn't so much of a concern. I did check Lee Valley, and they had just what I was looking for. 1/4-20 size.
