| Registered User | I bought a route speed control. When I use it on slow speeds it has virtually no power. Am I doing something wrong or do I need a different controler?? Dan |

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | It would be helpful to know what router you have, and what speed control devise you are using. Otherwise, without that information, I think you have a 99% definite maybe of a problem (possibly). :-)

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Hi Dan1931 This will be true on all router speed control units...On a router, speed = HP that's to say a router needs the speed (RPM) to make the HP...think of it as a 2 cly. eng...no bottom end (no power) to speak of...when the rpm's are low... ![]() On older routers that DON't have a VS built in .. The only thing you can do to over come this type of error is to upgrade your router to one of the newer type... =========== .. Quote:
