| Registered User Member | The Rockler catalog has a plexiglass Router Edge Guide(part #34420) that adjusts from 0 to 7 inches. My kids are looking for things to get for me for Christmas, but before putting it on the list it would be helpful to know if anyone has had experience with it. Also, what about the Offset Router Plate(part #59038). Thanks.

| Registered User Forum King | There's no need for the Offset Router Plate if you get the Router Edge Guide. Just remove the two tightening knobs and the guide stick and you'll have offset plate. The edge guide will come handy on more than few projects. |

| Registered User Forum King | I have not used that particular edge guide but similar one I had made my self way back when and the type Dewalt sells for their plunge routers. I am not a fan of edge guides per say although they have their uses. I see no reason why that edge guide wouldn’t perform accurately. It looks like for most operations, the center of the router will be close to the center of the edge guide stick and that is good. As long as those nuts don’t get loose, it should do an excellent job. The price is reasonable given the fact that the prices on Lexan /polycarbonate and such has been going through the roof and the time it takes to make jigs. |
