| Registered User Sr. Member | would you do that even with a hardware handle? I used a 1/4 round over on the walnut desk and the doors were 5/8 thick (never let someone else plane your stock- another story) and I still had room for the hinges, but it was tight. I figure I'll do the same here. I left all my stock at 13/16. All my boards were flat and smooth by that point, I didn't see a need to take off any more. It feels more robust even though it's only 1/16 more. I had some thicker boards, the top will actually be 7/8. |
