Default router bits from oak park

I recently purchased two router bits from oak-park and was wondering if anyone could give me some information on the quality of these bits. are they really good or just ok or what?? im new to the router and saw that these bits were on clearance so i bought them.

also, what is the pink gunk that is all over them? is that normal, and if so do i tak eit off or are the bits ready to use..... it's nasty whatever it is!!!!

It is normal. It is to protect the bit. I have read that you can run the bit through scrap with that stuff still on and it will remove it, but I prefer to cut it with a knife and peel it off.
