Hi, I am new to this forum but have been on other forums in the past (they had nothing to do with this topic) I am pretty new also to the CNC process made my first project, a jewelry box of purple heart wood, I have the CarveWright machine but I have found a couple of flaws, like the absence of adust collector and the card reader is not sealed and lets in dust and wood chips. I have since made my own dust collector and it works great but I had to give up part of the viewing window. The card reader I am still working on. Has anyone else had similiar problems? | ||

Hi GateKeeper I always ground the vac. hose then suck out the dust from the card slot,,I did put a small flap to cover the card when it's in the slot..that did help a lot..it's off a dollar change machine.. ![]() I also made a vac. tray that the machine sits on,,over a slot in the bottom of the machine, that helps but I'm always inside the door with the vac.hose sucking the dust and chips out,,,just about every 10 mins. or so..and to give the router and drive cable time to cool down... I also use dry lube on the drive cable to keep the heat down... ====== Quote:

Hi Michael, Welcome to the forum. When making a post or reply, scroll down to "Manage Attachments" and that will allow you to attach your pictures.
