| Registered User New Member | Hi - I am Allen and I'm sorry to say that I stumbled on this site by pure chance, and I didn't even know there was a PBS program called Router Workshop. But, I will be sure to watch it now. I am retired, with homes in Massachusetts and Florida - but we're just selling the MA house and consolidating in a new home in Florida. I'm counting on being able to spend more time doing wood working, and I am particularly interested in exploiting the capabilities of the router. I have two Porter-Cable routers and a router table, and I have just made a horizontal router table. This forum looks like a great way to learn more quickly and share experiences. |

This is a nice forum with great info and a really helpful group of people. Welcome to the forums. How about posting a picture of your horizontal router, if you can. Sounds interesting. I'm not familiar with the system for attaching images, so I don't know if this will work. If not, please provide advice. The table was built to plans in the book "Woodworking with the Router" by Hylton and Matlack. It is shown ready to slip the router motor into the attached base. | |

Go to the "off-topic discussion" forum and click on "Routerforums.com And Holbren.com contest". Go to the first post for this thread and then click on where it says "Click here to learn hot-to attach an image to a reply and/or thread". Mark has provided us with a pictorial view of how (hot) to post images. Good luck and I expect to see you pics.Dave the "Doctor"

How do you adjust the height or depth of the cut? I think when I find time (being retired) I will make a horizontal table. I have a bunch of routers now. Every time I go to an auction there seems to be a router there. I have all brands, all 1/4" collets. One in a Sears table, etc. You can never have to many. Thanks for the pictures. Dave the "Doctor"
