Hi Leo:

Well, no some of us aren't turners and some of us are turners with a twist and some of us are just plain turners.

Here's what's happening. This collection of fora is devoted to working with wood. It's emphasis is on routing but to use a router effectively you also have to use all of the other tools in a shop and that includes lathes. There are specific operations that can only be done using a router on a lathe.

I think you'll find your time worth while here and we would value your contribution either by questions or help with our lathe problems. We have every range of experience and training here. Many of us are of retirement age except our young ladies, of course, who have experiences far beyond their years (how's that for politics ;-)

Best of all, we have representations from all over the world. Pretty good place to be.
