| Registered User | Hello all. I'm new here. First came lurking here a few weeks ago to read opinions of routers. Went from thinking about a Harbor Freight special to thinking about a skil combo set, to finally concidering a more expensive brand. Settled on the Hitachi KM 12VC combo set. Which brings me to my question. Does anyone know how to remove the clear sub base from this? Are the screws holding it on reverse threaded? As I can't remove them. Thanks. Glad your lurking days are over. You are off to a good start by jumping in and asking a question. I too, am not familiar with the Hitachi, but as Sam said, one of our members is bound to own one. Good luck, be safe, and enjoy. Dave the "Doctor"

| Registered User Supreme Forum King | Hi and welcome! The screws are a stand type and as such you use the normal direction of turning. I hope you enjoy your router I know I love mine........ all three of them. Ed |
