Hello everyone. I have no experience whatsoever in woodworking other than living the dream vicariously for many years through TV shows like This Old House and/or Hometime! Just never had the time, space, or $ for another "hobby." But recently I've been thinking about a couple projects I'd like to tackle. My main interest of late has been in electronics--vintage hi-fi, in particular. Hence one of the projects I've had in mind is to build a solid wood plinth (that's the base) for one of my turntables. I have a couple chunks of wood I snagged (salvaged) lately and just today picked up an old Craftsman router at a thrift store. So I'll be hoping to get some pointers about that to get me going!
