| Registered User Jr. Member | Hello Router World, I am a router nut too. Been wood working wanna be since 1982. Retired aircraft hydraulic repairman since 1990. Live in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. I work only with local cypress, I have several sources here within a 50 mile radius. I can get 5/4 cypress for 50 cent a board foot. I do not do "contractor" stuff. I only do "Honey Do" and "Kinfold Deals. They all pay the same, absolutely nothing. I make porch swings, rockers, hay wagon planters and What ever I feel like at the time. I enjoy the Router Workshop approach to most projects, I try to improvise and adapt to use a Router Workshop style router table. So far, it works for me. Other members here helped me a great deal with their help and support. Other than that I try to log on and see what everyone else is doing. I especially am partial to table mounted routing and to Jig and Fixtures. Mowerhappy1 in South Louisiana |
