Default Fellow Woodworkers

I am known as Kelse. I am an 82 year old young and spry almost newby woodworker. Recently moved from Florida ( which was big mistake moving there in first place), back to Ohio. I now have a Basement with a wood shop almost all tricked out and ready to go. Love the looks, feel and smell of wood not to mention the pride that comes with seeing a project built by my hands and brain! I am amazed at what I see can be done with a router. I bought a Bosch regular base and plunge. I hope to learn how to work with it in a safe and productive way. This workshop and internet site seems like the way to start. Hello to all, will try not to bore you with posts but hope now and again to get help from those with experience. Happy routing to all!!

Welcome, Kelse. I'm 73, and am just getting into router woodworking. You'll find everyone here most helpful and encouraging. They have really given me a boost. Don't be afraid to ask the question that seems to you to be the most inane. These people are great, and I have never seen anyone on this forum chide or put anyone down. Again, welcome aboard.

Special welcome Kelse from a fuy older than you, In two weeks I will be 90.
Lots to learn on this forum and I have enjoyed all the help I get here.
They are a marvellous bunch of guys and very knowledgible when it comes to making sawdust. Yeah, that's the main product of routing and turning. The wood that's left over becomes many fantastic shapes like bowls, furniture, and things that tax your ingenuity.
Woodworking is fun, almost as much as flying!

Bore us, never. Post as often as you like Kelse also don't hesitate to ask questions, there's always one or usually several members who will answer you. I thought that I was one of the oldest at 73+.

I"ll try not to bore you Dr. I moved to the little town of Wadsworth in northeastern Ohio! Was hoping to find a woodworker up here that needs a student buddy. Salty
