I stumbled across this forum while doing a search on how to build hurricane shutters. I know what I want to do, but as is usually my situation, the actual process of doing it is a bit beyond what I know.

I'm basically a scroll sawyer, but I have quite a few other tools and I am trying to teach myself how to use them. My router is a complete mystery to me, but I'm beginning to get the picture that using a router is mostly in having or making the appropriate jigs.

I plan to be around and read through some back postings and things to see what I can learn here.
